Talent

I took some pictures of the drawings Brandon did when he was in HS. He had to pull them out the other day for the ward talent show display. He is an amazing artist, but sadly he really wants to bury the talent because he just does not enjoy it. He says he is too much of a perfectionist with his drawings and loses the patience to complete his work.
The last two are kinda washed out because of the camera.
This last one was actually auctioned off for $22,000 in the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Show. Brandon received a small percentage of the moola and the rest went to scholarships. Cool huh!

Wow! He is REALLY talented. Those drawings are amazing. Good work Brandon. I have always wished I could draw but wasn't blessed with this one. At least my eyes work and I can see and appreciate other's artistic talent (if you read my latest blog this last sentence will make sense).

WOW!!! Those are amazing!! I can understand his point of view though. There are some things I just don't do because I'm a perfectionist in some ways too. Then again, I don't have talent like that! Give him a few years... Maybe ask him to do a portrait of you... :)

Those are AMAZING! I had to click on the middle one and look closely to make sure it wasn't a photograph! That's a bummer that it's so stressful, because he is obviously so talented.

Yup! that is the same Rodeo that I went to last night! I love the art displays-it is a HUGE deal what Brandon did! That show has 1,000,000 visitors a day. Or, close to it.

It's understandable about not being able to finish work. That is somethin a lot of artists do, they constantly want to "fix" their work.. but sometimes ya just gotta let it go! :)
